AluRack® and S-Clamp for safety and efficiency on vehicle roofs.

AluRack – the aerodynamic aluminum roof rack by Prime Design fits on most vehicle types (regular vans with short or long wheelbase,
standard or high roofs, pickups or utility trucks) and assures improved efficiency and safety in daily business. AluRack -available in different
configurations according to the loading challenge- is generally fastened onto the roof using existing mounting points which greatly enhances
the vehicle's residual value in case of leasing.
AluRack was challenged during a dynamic city crash test by TÜV Süd Czech Republic (DIN ISO 11154/attach. E). The roof rack was installed
on a van roof and loaded with the maximum capacity of 181kg (rack weight was 19kg). With the speed of 18km/h the test sled had a
front-end-impact. The load and roof rack did not shift during the crash test and kept their position on the roof.
This roof rack with its light anodized aluminum finish in an aerodynamic design follows the vehicle contour perfectly. With its weight of max.
20-30kg, it is about 30% lighter than a similar steel version. The lightweight aluminum, combined with structural stability, allows even
vehicles with limited roof capacity to carry more material. The aerodynamic design also reduces fuel consumption and wear and ensures
almost silent travel. The material of AluRack is 100% recyclable and easy on the environment.
The patented safety feature “S-Clamp” secures ladders automatically on the AluRack. The hook at the front of the rack assists the operator
to position the ladder on the roof rack. The gas assisted handle brings the hook in the back in an upright position and fixes the ladder for
safe transport, even in critical driving situations. With this single touch to fix the ladder, the handling time for (un)loading can be reduced
from 240 seconds (4 minutes) to 20 seconds: that is a reduction by 80%, an investment with a high ROI. No extra lashing belts are
required. An additional padlock prevents theft.
AluRack construction is the strongest version. By using stiffer crossbars than in the standard AluRack, it improves the carrying capability for
heavy duty challenges. Despite the bigger size of the crossbars, silent travel and almost minimized fuel consumption are guaranteed.
Prime Design also offers a solution to optimize the loading capacities on pickup vehicles. AluRack pickup with its patented design of
corrosion-free aluminum, is mounted on the bed sides without drilling. AluRack pickup is the most flexible installation option available. The
standard configuration (mounting kit and two crossbars with cargo stops and anti-slip surface) fits to almost every pickup model.
The standard rack can be expanded by a third crossbar and side rails for better control and for the (un)loading of long objects. AluRack
pickup also fits on models with hardtop.
A basic roof rack solution for LCVs are Prime Design's AluBars. They consist of crossbars fixed in aluminum adapter channels, which are
mounted on existing tie-in points on the roof. According to the length of the vehicle, the number of crossbars can be adapted.
For all AluRack versions, a wide range of accessories is available: lightweight, aerodynamic and lockable conduit tubes for long material;
aluminum platform elements mounted onto the crossbars for additional loading space; a roller at the rear for easy (un)loading of long
