Dear Member
Rugby World Cup 2015 tickets
Please read all of this information sheet before you do anything.
Harpenden Rugby Club has been allocated 150 tickets for 10 matches at Twickenham. We have been
allocated 300 tickets for games at all the other venues. Tickets are not issued by the RFU, therefore
the procedure is completely different from the 6 Nations and Autumn international matches. Tickets
are only available to current members of Harpenden Rugby Club. If your name does not appear on
the members list on the website, you will not be able to apply for tickets. All members must strictly
abide by the RWC ticketing terms and conditions.
At this stage we want to gauge the level of interest in order to decide on the fairest way of
giving as many members as possible a chance to see a World Cup match.
In brief, the RWC system works in the following way:
1
Clubs pre-select members who will be able to apply for tickets
2
Clubs enter the names and email addresses of those selected above into RWC database
3
Only selected members have the right to buy tickets when purchasing window opens

I will confirm receipt of your email as soon as possible
The deadline for this is 21st April
What we will do

Once we know the level of interest we will let you know how the club is going to proceed

HRFC has a set number of tickets for each match
HRFC will allocate pairs of tickets only. In the case of family members, only one pair can be
allocated per family
If you are allocated a pair of tickets for one match, you will not be allocated another pair for
any other Twickenham matches unless all other Twickenham applicants have received a pair.
While the number of tickets allocated to HRFC is guaranteed, the prices are not. Tickets are
provided on a first come, first served basis once the purchasing period opens. Successful
candidates will be competing against members from HRFC and other clubs to get the ticket

price they want. If you cannot secure the ticket price you want, you will either have to pay
another price or withdraw your application. At this stage another HRFC member will be
given the chance to buy “your” tickets.
You can express an interest in tickets for as many Twickenham matches as you want. Show
your interest in a particular match by putting a number against it in the priority column on
the excel sheet. 1 = high priority, 10 = low priority (sheet Twickenham)
You can express an interest in Twickenham matches and non-Twickenham matches
Successful applicants will only be able to buy tickets for the match that has been assigned to
them

The club has no set allocation per match, simply an overall figure for all the matches.
You can express an interest in up to 4 tickets per match. There is no limit on the number of
matches for which you can express an interest in tickets.
While the number of tickets allocated to HRFC is guaranteed, the prices are not. Tickets are
provided on a first come, first served basis once the purchasing period opens. Successful
candidates will be competing against members from HRFC and other clubs to get the ticket
price they want. If you cannot secure the ticket price you want, you will either have to pay at
another price or withdraw your application. At this stage another HRFC member will be
given the chance to buy “your” tickets.
You may express an interest in both Twickenham matches and non-Twickenham matches. If
you are selected to receive Twickenham tickets your name will only be considered for nonTwickenham tickets if demand is less than supply.
Express your interest by putting the number of tickets you would like in the tickets column
(sheet Non- Twickenham)
Successful applicants will be able to buy tickets for any of the non-Twickenham matches.

If you have any questions please submit them at the time of applying. I will do my best to answer as
quickly as possible. It may be that I have to refer the question to the RWC, so please be patient.
Finally
The aim of the RWC ticketing procedure is to give clubs the opportunity to reward as many loyal
rugby enthusiasts as possible in an open and transparent way. At HRFC we share this aim. If you
become aware of any potential abuse of these conditions please let Andy Bianchi know as soon as
possible.
The RWC ticket offer to clubs closes at the end of June. After that date you will, of course, be free to
apply for any other tickets along with the general public.
