Program Overview: Who: Sprint Employees who have elevated cholesterol (this will be determined by the clinic following initial blood draw) or currently be on cholesterol medication plus elevated blood pressure and/or elevated BMI to be able to participate in the program. What: 12-week program begins February 2 and continues through May 8. When: Registration takes place January 5 through January 16. Fee: $50 for fitness center members and $65 for non-members of the fitness center. Program Components: Check in and work out at the Campus Fitness Center a minimum of three times each week during the 12-week program; Participate in pre/post one-on-one consultations and goal setting/motivation sessions with Candy Hawks, your Sprint Alive! Wellness Ambassador (Healthy Living Discount opportunities); Participate in group Lunch and Learn educational sessions covering heart health (provided by the Sprint Fitness Center, the Sprint on-site Health Clinic and Sprint Alive!) Participate in a final post-program assessment with the Fitness Center between April 27 and May 8; Receive a post-program blood draw at the Campus on-site health clinic between April 27 and May 8. Program participants will receive: Pre- and post-fasting lipid profile blood test, blood pressure and BMI assessment through the Sprint on-site Health Clinic. Pre- and post-provider visit through the Sprint on-site Health Clinic to determine total cholesterol goal and 10-year risk. Unlimited access to the Sprint Fitness Center between enrollment date and May 8. Individual counseling sessions including a comprehensive fitness assessment by a Sprint Fitness Center staff member. Two 1-on-1 coaching sessions with Candy Hawks, Sprint Alive! Wellness Ambassador. Educational Lunch and Learns sessions on the topic of heart health throughout the program. Ready to register? Here are the registration details: Register between Jan. 5 and Jan. 16 to schedule a blood draw with the Sprint on-site Health Clinic (Note: Participants will need to schedule an appointment for this rather than walking in). Prior to blood draws, participants will need to fast for a minimum of 10 to 12 hours for accuracy in results. Schedule appointment at the Sprint on-site Health Clinic to review results (Note: Participants are admitted to the program based on these results).
