Eric is President & CEO of Cervel Neurotech, a clinical stage non-invasive neuromodulation
company, focused upon the treatment of psychiatric and neurological disorders. Prior to joining
Cervel as President & CEO, he was President, CEO, and Founder of Calypso Medical. At Calypso,
he developed and commercialized a novel tumor tracking technology for use during delivery of
radiation therapy. Prior to Calypso, he worked at Ethicon Endosurgery, a Johnson & Johnson
company. At Ethicon Endorsurgery, he directed worldwide market and business development
for all oncology products.
His therapeutic area experience includes oncology, cardiovascular health, women’s health, and
neurologic and psychiatric and neurologic disorders. Eric serves on the Board of Directors for
Ziba Design, Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA), and Young President’s
Organization (YPO). His extracurricular passions include breakfast, lunch, dinner, soccer,
watching college basketball games, and surfing. Eric received a BSE in biomedical engineering
from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford University.

David Lake was born in Newport Beach, California, but his formative years were spent in
Montrose, Colorado where is father was a teacher and school administrator. Mr. Lake returned
to California attending the University of Southern California where he met his wife of 21 years
in his accounting class. David, his wife Deborah and their teenagers, daughter Sydney and son
Harrison are current residents of Laguna Beach, California.
David Lake is the CEO and President of MCL Fresh, Inc. a produce solutions company he cofounded in 1993, but has owned solely since 2001. MCL Fresh grows, sources, packages, and
provides logistical solutions for retailers, food distributors, and produce companies.
Specializing in both conventional and organic produce, MCL Fresh sells primarily to customers in
North America, but also internationally under its brands: MCL-Fresh, 4-Earth, Real Sun and Real
Organics, as well as providing private-label solutions.
Outside of MCL Fresh, Mr. Lake serves as Chairman of the Board for Premier Business Bank, a
community bank servicing Downtown Los Angeles and Palos Verdes, California. Mr. Lake is also
actively involved with Young Presidents Organization. He currently serves as Pacific Regional
Chairman representing 30 chapters and 1500 members in the Pacific Region of the United
States.
David supports many local charities and is a board member of After-School All-Stars, an afterschool program whose mission is to keep underprivileged children safe and help them succeed
in school and life.

Chris Caren joined iParadigms in 2009 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. His career has
focused on software businesses and he comes from a family of scientists and educators — a
background which helped draw him to iParadigms. Chris previously worked for Microsoft
Corporation as General Manager of Microsoft Business Solutions and Office Business
Applications. His previous experience includes vice president of products and marketing at
Business Objects (now part of SAP), product marketing at Manugistics Group Inc., head of sales
and marketing at an Oracle financial applications company, and a leadership position at
Accenture. He holds an MBA with distinction from Kellogg Business School and a bachelor of
science in engineering from Stanford University.

Tom Hayse has been with ETM in a full-time role since 1985, and has served as CEO & President
since 1996. During his tenure as CEO, ETM has grown from $7 million to over $35 million in
annual revenue. His past roles at ETM have included: Vice President of Marketing, where he led
the team to develop and bring to market ETM's TWTA product line for instrumentation and
communications; Engineering Manager, where he led ETM engineering teams in the design,
construction and delivery of high power pulsed and CW microwave transmitters; and Project
Engineer, where he designed high voltage test equipment for traveling wave tubes.
Tom holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He is a member and officer of
the Northern California Chapter of the Young President's Organization. Tom represents ETM’s
membership in the Silicon Valley Leadership Group (SVLG) and actively represented the SVLG’s
partnership with Plug-In Bay Area (PIBA) to promote the commercialization of plug-in hybrid
vehicles. Tom is the son of ETM's late founder, Charles E. Hayse.
KEVIN CALLAGHAN, President and CEO, Mountain Travel Sobek, Emeryville, CA

Kevin joined the Mountain Travel Sobek family in 2001, after 15 years as CEO of growth
companies in online information services, direct marketing, health & wellness, branded
lifestyle, and web-based businesses. Companies included Royal Robbins, international outdoor
apparel; Krups USA, a healthy living and wellness search fund; and HotLinks, a precursor to
today’s social media companies. He got his start in venture capital and mergers and
acquisitions.
An insatiable traveler and adventurer, he is happiest when he is in the field. Kevin has been to
38 countries (including North Korea in 2012). He has trekked in Patagonia and the Himalaya,
gone on wildlife safaris in East and Southern Africa, climbed Mount McKinley, run the Grand
Canyon in a dory, and completed an Outward Bound educator’s program. He is also an avid
sailor, and once worked on a charter yacht in French Polynesia as well as crewed on the
winning sailboat in the Southern Ocean Racing Conference's Pineapple Cup.

Steven Aldrich is president and CEO of Posit Science, joining the company from Intuit where he
created significant growth over 13 years in many roles. Most recently he was vice president of
Strategy and Innovation of the small business division where he accelerated growth by solving
important customer problems through partnerships and acquisitions. He guided the
QuickBooks Industry Solutions and QuickBooks Point of Sale teams to several successive years
of significant employee engagement increases, customer experience improvements and
revenue growth. Steven was president of Quicken Insurance, a business he co-founded and sold
to Intuit. He has worked in the investment banking division of Alex. Brown & Sons and for
McKinsey & Company.
Steven completed his MBA at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and he holds an AB in
Physics from the University of North Carolina. Steven is an avid supporter of the arts, president
of the Board of the Bay Area Glass Institute (www.BAGI.org) and enjoys spending time with his
wife Allison and their son, Jackson.

Meehan developed the idea of bringing organic stores to the UK after seeing the Wholefoods
Organic Supermarket concept whilst living in Boston and studying at Harvard. Meehan started
organic Fresh & Wild stores with Hass Hassan (founder of Alfafas/Wild Oats in US) in 1998.
Meehan and Hass built the Fresh & Wild chain to 7 stores, the largest chain of natural and
organic food supermarkets in the UK and sold to Whole Foods Market in 2004.
Nude Skincare was launched in 2007. Good friend Ali Hewson, wife of U2 frontman Bono) is the
inspiration, investor and ‘muse’ of the brand. Using his experience with organic food, Meehan
spent two years learning about skincare, building a careful understanding of ingredients and
clinical testing. In 2008 Nude went international, launching into the US, Australia, and New
Zealand.
Meehan has expanded his social responsibility by co-founding Greenmont Capital with four
other entrepreneurs in the green industry. The group funds people who are primarily interested
creating in environmentally friendly products. Investments include IZZE soda line, a green bank,
and an eco-timber company that supplies green sustainable wood to the building industry.
