Team Vision Team Hercules teachers want every student to be successful in and out of the classroom and we wish to aid our students in a smooth transition to the middle school years. We hope to foster students to become active citizens in the Harmony community and beyond. Team Hercules teachers hope to guide students on their journeys to accomplishing individual goals. Team Expectations 1. Be respectful. 2. Be prepared. 3. Do your best. 1st offense- verbal warning 2nd offense- parent contact 3rd offense- referral to dean Team Policies Homework – Homework is expected on the assigned due date. If work is late, points will be deducted as determined by the subject area teacher. Absences – If you are absent, you are expected to check with your teacher for assignments the next day (NOT the next time you return to class!). If absent on the due date of an assignment that was given in advance, it will be expected on the day you return to school. Remember to check with your teachers or on the teachers’ websites for any missed assignments. According to LCPS policy, students have one day for each day missed to make up assignments. Agendas – Student agendas are required for ALL classes. They are used for homework, upcoming events, and are the ticket to exit the classroom for the nurse, library, and restroom facilities. There is a fee to replace them; so hold onto them! Teacher Availability Aside from your resource period, Team Hercules teachers are available by appointment before or after school should you need assistance. If you are planning to stay or arrive early, please notify your teacher ahead of time. If you will be staying after school, you must have a signed note from home indicating “parent pickup”. If you are arriving early, you must obtain a hall pass from your teacher the day prior to your session. The Hercules Team Teachers can be reached through the Harmony website at http://www.loudoun.k12.va.us/schools/harmony . Each teacher maintains a calendar of assignments on his/her website for students and parents to check in order to stay up to date on assignments. Please feel free to contact us by phone (540-751-2500), email, or through Ms. Jamie Sharp, the 6th grade counselor.
