CEWP Progress Review and Water Innovation Workshop
Date 4 November 2014
Background
On Sept 11, 2014, Chinese Minister Chen Lei of Water Resources met with visiting Danish
Minister of Environment Kirsten Brosbøl in Beijing. Both Ministers exchanged views on the
operation of CEWP and assured there’re big potentials for the further development of such
an important mechanism.
Minster Brosbøl emphasized the need for more business involvement, strengthening
projects cooperation and policy dialogue, and addressing barriers for CEWP sustainability
and providing more resources to support CEWP running. Minister Chen agreed with Minister

formulate measures to address the barriers identified.
