Courses must be taken in the sequence stated on the candidate’s agreed upon sequence of study and are offered as follows: Full-time, Two-year Option: Summer I: Introduction to the field courses Academic Year I: majority of assessment/intervention/and foundational courses and yearlong practicum involving 1-1½ days per week in a school site Summer II: Focused content courses Academic Year II: 1200 hour, full-time internship Part-time, Three-year Option: Summer I: Introduction to the field courses Academic Year I: assessment/intervention courses and yearlong practicum involving 1-1½ days per week in a school site Summer II: Focused content courses in research/human development/intervention Academic Year II: Foundational courses, mental health strand, consultation course Summer III: Remaining content courses in research/human development Academic Year III: 1200 hour, full-time internship Both the two and three-year option require that students complete the same number of courses and credits.
