PRESS RELEASE 28.09.15 DATES ANNOUNCED FOR BATH CHRISTMAS MARKET 2015 ** It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… ** With summer drawing to an end and Autumn Harvest on our doorstep, preparation is underway for the return of the hugely popular Bath Christmas Market. This year’s dates are 26th November – 13th December, giving you 18 days to enjoy the magic of Bath and all that the World Heritage City has to offer. The biggest Christmas shopping event in the South West, over 170 beautifully decorated wooden chalets line the streets at the heart of the city, with a stunning backdrop of the Roman Baths and Bath Abbey. Offering a romantic atmosphere that attracts thousands of visitors for that special shopping experience, Bath is the perfect setting for those magical moments with your loved ones. The chalets The wooden chalets are found in the streets around Bath Abbey, offering handmade Christmas decorations, local artwork, bespoke jewellery, festive food and drink, toys, clothing and so much more. You will be sure to find something truly unique to buy for yourself or as a gift whilst indulging in all your favourite Christmassy treats and winter-warmers. There are also pop-up stalls on Bath Street, there for a limited time only. This means your visit will never be the same and you can come back to visit again to see what has changed. For 2015, 25% of stallholders are new to the event, 75% make handmade artisan products, and 80% of traders are from Bath and its surrounding area. The Christmas Lodge New this year to Bath Christmas Market is The Christmas Lodge, an indoor venue at the heart of the event on Stall Street. With heart-warming food and locally produced ales on offer, drop in and take a seat whilst soaking up the festive atmosphere in a perfectly rustic setting. The Christmas Lodge will be open daily throughout Bath Christmas Market. This exciting addition has been created as a partnership between Bath Tourism Plus and Bath Ales. New caterers New caterers taking part in Bath Christmas Market this year, bringing you a range of fine festive food and mulled wine, are Pieminister, The Orchard Pig, The Great Stone Baker, The Bath Waffle Company, The Herd, Gascoyne Place, Green Park Brasserie and Chou Chou Nuts Over You. Entertainment Each year Bath Christmas Market is complemented by entertainment from local choirs, musicians, carol singers, interactive street theatre and local dramatic societies to name but a few.
