STUDENT EXCHANGE OPPORTUNITY St. Paul’s School and St. Paul’s School for Girls Fettes College Edinburgh, Scotland February 27th – Mar 21st, 2014 Application with essay due November 1, 2013 The St. Paul’s Schools have long standing student exchange relationships with schools in Japan (Gakushuin and Suiryo High School), Spain (Pia de Sitges), Germany (Pascal Gymnasium), CHINA (Hongzhu Entel Foreign Language School), Australia (St. Hilda’s School), Argentina (St. Georges College) and France (Collège et lycée Marseilleveyre). We continue to expand our commitment to international partnerships and are launching our first student exchange program in the spring of 2014 with Fettes College in Edinburgh, Scotland. Fettes College, http://www.fettes.com/fettes-college/ is a co-educational boarding and day school for children aged 13-18, located in Edinburgh, Scotland. Fettes College was founded in 1870 as a school for orphans and the sons of needy parents. The school has a reputation for academic and athletic excellence and is the only school in Scotland which offers its students the choice of taking the International Baccalaureate or the more specialized national A level courses. Preliminary itinerary (subject to change) February 24th - March 7th: Selected SPS/SPSG students will each host a student from Fettes College in their home. Students will attend classes and participate in some arranged activities such as visits to local universities and/or visits to see local attractions i.e. D.C., or Baltimore. March 7th - March 9th: Fettes College students and SPS/SPSG hosts will travel to Scotland via London, depart Fri evening, Mar 7th, stay overnight in London, Saturday, Mar 8th, fly to Edinburgh on Sunday, March 9th. March 10th - March 21st: SPS/SPSG students will board at Fettes College and attend daily classes. Time will also include trips around Scotland and include visits to Edinburgh and St Andrew's. March 21st: SPS/SPSG students return and resume classes after Spring Break ends, March 24th.
