vMR and MDMI refinements to field mappings:
Began to examine the vMR and MDMI representations of the Immunization
Recommendation fields – also the MSH additions. Conversation turned toward
revisiting the purpose of the various artefacts – vMR, MDMI.

Actions
Discussed the idea of a half-day meeting at HL7 Phoenix with key players from each of
the key artefacts working together to finish the field mappings. This could start with a
short introduction from each representative on their particular artifact so that everyone
in the room becomes somewhat familiar with all the technologies under
consideration. Then, the fields mappings will be reviewed and any holes or ambiguities
resolved. Finally, the overall conclusion of the exercise will be reviewed to see if there is
one common representation which all parties concur can serve as a common
reference. Alean will investigate.
Decided to meet again next week (i.e. not wait for biweekly meeting) as we did not get
too far on the original objective of filling in the field mappings.
