LECTURES CONTENT: epidemiology of geriatric diseases, nutrition and metabolic problems in elderly patients, somatically and mentally specific of geriatric patients treatment. Changes in oral cavity in elderly patients, treatment planning and consultation with the patients physicians. Principles of conservative treatment in geriatric patients (root caries, noncarious defects of dental hard tissue, endodontic treatment). Prosthetic treatment in residual dentition and atrophied edentulous alveolar ridges, difficulties in edentulous patients treatment, psychosomatic problems in prosthesis adaptation in elderly patients. Oral mucous membrane diseases in geriatric patients. Burning mouth syndrome. Periodontal diseases and their treatment in geriatric patients. Preparation of geriatric patient for the ambulatory surgical treatment, surgical preparation of oral cavity for prosthetic treatment, applying implants with prostheses in elderly patients.
