Growing up with Shanghai
---Event Proposal for Photography works competition for students in Schools for foreign children

Main Idea: Shanghai is a world modern City. It attracts more and more foreigners to come here
to work, study and live due to its international atmosphere and multicultural connotation. In
order to let foreigners well understand the profound culture of China and also strength the
communication between Shanghai and the whole world, SEC organize this event and arrange
those students to visit science and cultural museums.


1. Students in Schools for children of foreign personnel
2. Groups are Primary, Junior and Senior

Activities and time schedule
1. The event named Growing up with Shanghai-- Photography works competition for students
in Schools for foreign children will propagate and start in May, 2014
2. International Schools recommend excellent works to participate in the municipal review in
the mid-October, 2014.
3. Municipal review in late October, 2014.
4. Excellent photography works display and the Award Ceremony in November, 2014.

Requirements:
1. International schools are able to participate in different categories which are recommended
and every 10 photos in a category.
2. Main Theme: Growing up with Shanghai
3. One photo or photo set is all acceptable. The photo set needs to be marked the sequence
number and should have less than 4 photos. The size should be 14 inches (30.48cm*
35.56cm). Any computer software or darkroom technique to amend pictures is not
acceptable.
4. The Photography works need to be sent out with appropriate size and without frame. Please
make a note with your name, school, grade, category, the name of instructor and the name
of photos at the back of the photos or on another paper.
5. The Photography works will not be returned to the owner. The Committee has the authority
to use in some related activities and documents (including for editing brochure or display).
The owner has the right of authorship but he/she will not be got paid.
