Bachelor of Theology:
Intercultural Studies
The Bachelor of Theology (BTh) is designed to form character and develop skills in women and men
called by God, enabling them to serve as reflective practitioners in the church of Jesus Christ. The
degree is distinguished by an emphasis on serious biblical study through a sustained encounter with the
text in an original language.
In keeping with the University College mission and in support of its educational philosophy, this track is
designed to enable the student with knowledge and competencies essential for effective leadership and
ministry in a variety of pastoral positions.

This program planning guide is designed to help you plan your degree program. When you have met a
requirement, place a check mark beside it. When all of the requirements are checked, you should be
eligible for graduation.
Please remember that this is only a guide—the Academic Calendar is the final authority on academic
questions, including academic policies and program requirements. Students are responsible for the
accuracy of their own programs. This is not a graduation check or an application for graduation.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of 120 credits
Completion of degree requirements
Up to 60 credits may be transferred from another institution for a four-year degree
The final 30 credits must normally be taken at Ambrose
A cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.0 is required to graduate, with a GPA of at least
2.0 in all Christian Studies (REL) and Professional Studies (PST) courses.
