Directions: From 64, head West on 623 (Ashland Road.) After you pass Hanover Fruit and
Vegetable Farm, a white fence will be on your left, take a left onto Woodson Farm Lane after
the white fence ends. Follow the gravel road, there will be a fork in the road, bear right. The
barn will be on the left.
From 295, take 33 West towards Montpelier. Take 33W and take a right at the light onto 623
(Ashland Road) and follow the directions above.
Division Specifications
Leadline- Open to riders seven and under. To be judged at the walk, while being led.
Pre-Short Stirrup—Open only to Junior Members** who will not be showing in any
Canter class. Riders cannot cross enter into any over fences or canter class. Riders
will trot over 2 poles on the ground (2 point position over poles.).
Short Stirrup—Judged as a hunter division. Open to riders who have not
reached their 13th birthday as of December 1st, 2013. Trotting and Trotting changes
are permissible.
Pleasure Pony*—Open to all Junior Members on ponies. VHSA Associate Division.
Student Hunter Equitation—Open to Juniors or Amateurs on horses or ponies. Riders will
jump a course of five to seven fences, 18’ or 2’ in height.
Pleasure Horse*—Open to all horses. Junior** and Adult may be split if entries
warrant. VHSA Associate Division.
Low Hunter—Open to all riders on horses or ponies. Fences: 2’, or 2’-6”. Six to
eight fences.
Working Hunter*—Open to all Riders on horses. Fences: 2’-6”. Eight(8) fences.
VHSA Associate Division.
Children’s/Adult Hunter*—Open to Juniors** and Adult Amateurs on Horses only.
Junior and Adult may be split if entries warrant. Fences 2’6”. VHSA Associate
Division.
VHSA Associate Green Pony/Horse* —Open to Juniors ** on ponies in their first
year of showing at or above designated heights and horses in their first or second year
of showing over fences at or above 2’6”. Fences: Small—2’, Medium—2’3”, Large
and Horses—2’6”. Pony and Horse may be split if entries warrant..VHSA Associate
Division.
Pony Hunter*—Open to Juniors** on Ponies. Fences: Small—2’, Medium—2’-3”, Large 2’6”.
VHSA Associate Division.
VHSA Associate Pony Equitation—Open to VHSA Associate Junior members**.
Judged on hands, seat, control. At least one quarter of riders must return on the flat.
Fences: Small—2’, Medium—2’-3”, Large 2’-6”
VHSA Associate Children’s/Adult Equitation*—Open to VHSA Associate Junior
members and Adult Amateurs. On horses. Judged on hands, seat, control. At least one
quarter of riders must return on the flat. Fences: 2’-6”. Junior and Adult may be split
if entries warrant. VHSA Associate Division.
VHSA Children’s/Adult Amateur on the Flat-Judged on position, control & guidance. To
be split 14 & under, 15-17, & Adult Amateur as entries allow.
** Juniors are defined as riders who have not reached their 18th birthday as of
December 1st, 2013
Fees are as follows:
$20 VHSA Equitation O/F Class.

Rules and Regulations:
1. Haverhill Farm will not be responsible for any accident, injury, or loss
of property on the grounds before, during, or after any event.
2. No stallions allowed on show grounds.
3. Haverhill Farm reserves the right to refuse any entry, to change the time
schedule, to combine classes, or change judges at any time.
4. Any entry that schools but does not show will be charged a $20.00
schooling fee.
5. Points and ribbons will be awarded for 1st – 6th in each class and
Champion and Reserve will be awarded in each division. Points will
follow VHSA rules.
6. Points will count, with membership, to Haverhill Farm Winter Series.
7. ASTM approved hard hats must be worn by juniors and adults at all
times while mounted.
8. Please leave your dogs at home.
11. Junior riders – any rider under 18 years old as of Dec. 1, 2013.

By participating or observing in any way in this competition, I agree that I choose to participate voluntarily in the competition with my horse, as rider, driver,

Carol Straus, Haverhill Farm, Jeff Sears Hanover Plant and Vegetable and the Competition and to hold them harmless with respect to any and all claims for harm to me or my horse, and for
claims made by others for any harm caused by me or my horse at the Competition. I have read Carol Straus, Haverhill Farm LLC, Jeff Sears, Hanover Plant and Vegetable and the
Competition rules about protective equipment and understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty and I acknowledge that Carol Straus, Haverhill Farm LLC, Jeff
Sears, Hanover Plant and Vegetable, and the competition strongly encourages me to do so while expressly WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against any injuries. If I am a
