TRANSLATION REQUEST FORM
Language Translation Policies (as of June 1, 2013)
1. The language translation services of the Confucius Institute at the Ateneo de Manila University are
generally Mandarin Chinese to English and English to Mandarin Chinese translation only. Translations
from Mandarin Chinese to Filipino or Filipino to Mandarin Chinese are also accepted depending on
availability or translators.
2. Price quotation will depend on document length and subject matter. Please allow 1 to 2 business days
for us to respond with a quotation.
3. The client must submit the final version of the document. Changes and/or additions to the original will
not be entertained while the translation is in progress.
4. The final output shall be a Microsoft Word file that approximately follows the design of the original.
5. The client shall be notified after the translation has been finished and the final output shall be sent to
the client’s email address. CI-AdMU may also produce a printed output, provided that the client will be
responsible for picking up the document from our office.
6. A 50% down payment shall be paid prior to the start of the service. After receiving the final translated
output, the client must pay the remaining balance within two business days.
7. After the final translated output has been delivered, the client is entitled to one revision. Significant
changes and/or additions to the original document by the client may be subject to a new translation
project.
8. If the final translated output will be used in other printed materials, and the client intends to have CIAdMU proofread the new adapted text, the client will be charged Php 500 each time.
