Camp Clean-up Duties
Bath houses:
Campers/Leaders
 Pick up all trash, clothes, towels, rags, etc. from floor
 Remove all belongings from shower stalls and off sinks
 Empty all trash and place outside of bath house
 Flush all toilets
 Sweep and spray down the floor
Maintenance
 Will empty trash from outside of bath house
 Will clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, mirrors, showers and floors
 Will fill up all dispensers
 Replace trash bags
Cabins:
Campers/Leaders
 Pick up all personal belongings, off floor
 Pickup all trash in and around cabin
 Sweep floor
 Place all trash outside of cabin doors
Maintenance
 Empty trash
 Complete any maintenance request forms that need to be
addressed such as replacing batteries in smoke detector, replacing
any broken items etc. getting ready for next session

Camp Grounds:
Campers/Leaders
 Pick up all recreation equipment and return to correct storage
areas
 Pick up all trash on camp grounds including porch of dining hall (if
applicable) paper cups, wrappers from country store etc. Place in
trash cans on grounds.
 Pick up all lost and found and put in plastic bags to be taken back
to county for adults to claim
 Pick up lost and found from pool area and throw away anything
that will not be claimed such as socks, underwear etc.
Maintenance
 Will maintain all areas such as mowing, etc.
 Will empty all trash and replace trash liners
 Maintain paths going to class areas
Shelter House:
Campers/Leaders
 Pick up all recreation equipment and return to correct storage
areas
 Pick up all trash around shelter area, paper cups, wrappers from
country store etc. and place in trash cans on grounds
 Pick up all lost and found and put in plastic bags to be taken back
to county for adults to claim
 Do not leave trash or food on tables
 Keep lids on trash cans
Maintenance / Staff:
 Will sweep and hose off shelter house as needed

Dining Hall:
Campers / Leaders
 Pick up trash, and sweep floors
 Sweep front porch and stairs leading down to basement
 Kitchen staff will supply cleaning solution and rags for campers to
wipe down tables and seating areas where needed.
 Pick up trash and lost and found
 Sweep floors and mop up any spills
 Collect all trays and wash in the three step method sink in tray
wash area (this is marked with directions in this area) Suggested
having adult leader supervising this area.
 Place trays in drying rack so they will drain properly
 Collect all silverware in container before campers returns trays
(this will keep campers from throwing away silverware)
Maintenance / Staff
 Will wash silverware
 Will provide water/cleaning solutions for table washing
 Will provide water/cleaning solutions for tray wash area
 Will empty all trash in dining hall, restrooms and kitchen before
and after all meals.
 Will clean and mop dining hall on last day of camp session to get
ready for next group

Agent’s Office:
Agents/Leaders
 Remove all County belongings from office
 Pick up all trash and put office trash bags into large trash cans in
dining hall
 Clean up spills and messes as they occur
Maintenance
 Sweep out office between camp sessions
Any building or Area used for classroom or meetings:
Campers/Leaders
 Pick up trash daily
 Clean up spills/messes as they occur
 Adults will sanitize cooking surfaces daily (with sanitizing solution
provided by Maintenance Staff, locked in cabinet)
 Ensure that all camp fires (used for outdoor cooking or special
programs) are put out at the end of each day’s class session
Maintenance
 Provide wood and starter bricks for camp fires (NO GASOLINE OR
OTHER LIQUID FIRE STARTER IS PERMITTED)
 Empty large trash cans and replace liners
 Sweep and mop between sessions
 *On last day of camp session, campers and leaders are
responsible for removing any decorations that the camp session
may have used during the camping session.
