USAC annual licenses may be purchased at registration for $60. Racers must compete within their USAC designated category. The event will be held rain or shine. No refunds. 1 On-site registration is located at the Lake Bluff Fire Station, 45 E. Center St., Lake Bluff, IL 60044. No bicycles in the Fire Station, please. On-site registration opens at 1:00 pm and closes 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Racers who register on race day are subject to a $5 late fee. Racers registering for multiple events receive a $10 discount on the second event. Parking Parking will be tight – especially later in the afternoon as people arrive for the bike race and the block party. Please park only in “legal” spots. Here are some suggestions: o The Metra lot across from the Village Green by Sheridan Rd. and Scranton Ave. o The Lake Bluff Middle School parking lot (after 12:30 pm) located at Sheridan Rd. and Sheridan Place (just south of the baseball fields) o The parking lot next to the tennis courts in Artesian Park o Along North Avenue (which is one block north of the racecourse) Driving Directions to Race See race flyer. However, please be aware of construction on Rte. 176 that may cause delays if you use that road. (Here are alternate directions to bypass the roadwork on Rte. 176: From the north take Rte. 137/Buckley Rd. east to Green Bay Rd., then south on Green Bay Rd. to Rte. 176, then east on Rte. 176 into Lake Bluff. From the south take Rte. 60 east to Waukegan Rd., then north on Waukegan Rd. to Deerpath, then east on Deerpath to Green Bay Road, then north on Green Bay Rd. to Rte. 176, then east on Rte. 176 into Lake Bluff.) The Racecourse The racecourse is technical with 6 corners and a long, slightly uphill finishing stretch. The racecourse is approximately 0.75 miles (1.2 Km) in length. First Aid The first aid station is located in the Fire Station next to rider registration. Neutral Support SRAM will provide full race support, which will be available just west of the start/finish line. Race Numbers o o Dual Numbers – the pro women’s race and the pro men’s race use two body numbers. Race numbers are to be pinned over the pockets on each side of the jersey; the number should be visible from the back and either side with the rider in riding position. Single Numbers – all other races use a single number. Race numbers are to be pinned on the right side of the jersey, visible from the race stage where the finish line camera will be located. 2 All racers will be issued separate numbers for each race in which they compete. Please make sure to change your race number if participating in more than one race. Rules Race rules are per USA Cycling and the Chief Referee’s decisions are final. Anti-Doping All races are conducted under USADA anti-doping regulations. Podium Presentations/Jerseys A podium presentation for the top three finishers in each race will be held immediately after each race. If you place in the top 3 in your race, please report to the podium immediately following your race for awards presentations. USA Crits jersey presentations: USA Crits will also present jerseys during the podium presentations for the pro women and pro men’s events.
