Broadcast Education Association Scholarship Opportunity Nielsen Co. Awards $10,000 in Scholarships to BEA Student Members Washington, D.C. Nielsen Co. has given the Broadcast Education Association $10,000 to offer undergraduate and graduate scholarships to students studying any area of electronic media. BEA will administer the selection of four Nielsen Scholarships, $2,500 to each student, which will be used during the 2015-2016 academic year. BEA exists to connect the electronic media world and the classroom and support faculty and students in research, creative endeavors and professional development and has been awarding scholarships to aspiring broadcasters since 1961. BEA scholarships are awarded to outstanding students for study on campuses that are BEA college and university members. BEA is awarding over $39,000 in scholarships for the 2015-2016 academic year. Crowne at Long Leaf Trace Apartments, Part Time Marketing Representative The Crowne at Long Leaf Trace Apartments are currently looking for a part-time Marketing Representative.They are looking for a sophomore/junior who would be willing to work at least 20 hours during the school year and full time during winter break and summer. Some of the job functions include, but are not limited to: Greet prospects by covering all criteria (ask questions; utilize completed guest cards, etc.). Demonstrate community and apartment/model and apply product knowledge to prospective residents needs by communicating the features and benefits; close the sale. Update availability report, process applications for approvals. (i.e., credit check, rental history, etc.) Submit processed applications to the Community Manager for approval. Follow up with applicant regarding status. Participate in outreach marketing activities on a regular basis to obtain prospective residents. Interested? Temple Baptist Church, Graphic Design Intern Temple Baptist Church is located at 5220 Old Highway 11 Hattiesburg, MS 39402. They are looking for an energetic, engaging design Intern to work with our media department. Intern’s will get hands on experience and see the process in the development of projects from conception to production. Design Interns need a creative, imaginative aptitude and awareness of current trends in the visual arts, and basic knowledge of the latest software (Adobe suite). The required qualifications are: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. Additional skills that are not required, but are beneficial are: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Lightroom. The internship pays $9.00 an hour and requires students to work between 12 and 16 hours a week.
