There always seems to be some unforeseen issue arise; either with disruptive students, training locations that prohibit a positive learning environment, or logistical and administrative problems. Tier I and Master Instructors should be problem solvers that can improvise, adapt, and overcome almost all obstacles and still deliver a quality training experience for the student. 1……..2………3………4……….5 1. Adjunct Instructor displays serious deficiencies in their ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. 2. Adjunct Instructor was able to solve problem but did so in such a way that other problems were magnified and distracted from the student’s learning experience. 3. You have been selected to conduct this tier review because the ALERRT program administrators have the utmost confidence in your abilities and professionalism to act in their stead. Tier reviews are of a confidential nature and should not be shared with anyone other than the instructor being reviewed and the administrative review board members. You are not obligated to share your rating with the individual being reviewed unless you feel it appropriate and necessary. Please review all rating categories and score each applicant in accordance with their observed performance. After each category you are asked to explain your rating. Please include details in this section. This will assist us in getting a clear picture of the instructor’s capabilities. Each instructor will be rated on their abilities as it relates to two different and distinct areas, administrative and operational procedures. These areas are defined as the following: Administrative Procedures- examples are: Registration Forms, Waivers of Liability, PreTest, Post-Test, class start times, directions to students for follow-on days, explanation of Certificate process to students, TV and Print media, disruptive students, armed observers during force on force training, and other circumstances not directly covered by course curriculum. Operational Procedures- examples are covering all course curriculum as outlined, staying within time restrictions of 20-25 minutes for demonstration and explanation, following learning objects during force on force scenarios, following all safety protocols, proper demonstrations, and all other aspects of delivering a dynamic presentation to the students. How to Submit the Tier Review After the class has been completed, you will be required to complete the peer review of all instructors and the overall course. Once you have submitted the peer review form the Tier Review form will appear. Transfer all information onto this form from your notes and submit the form. This will complete the tier review process.
