The first person I talked to was Jordan Graves. Graves is one of the three youth staff employees. He is well known in the community by students because he is a teacher, substitute teacher and a coach for the high school sports. biggest hurdle was breathing life into summit because it was fairly lifeless after the transition The contrast between the youth staff. All very different, might not be friends if not in a work environment. They have great communication. Freshman are rambunctious and goofier. Seniors are reserved and “more intelligent’ “You want young kids to be more respectful like the seniors are and for the seniors I want them to get off their high horse and have a little joy in their life like the freshman. Each group can learn from the other” quote about transition. I also saw a glimpse of Grave’s passion for sharing the word with students. The second person I talked to was Ryan Sullivan. He is another employee of the youth staff. He acts like the head person of the three and is very good at what he does. Ryan is kind and personal with all of the students at Summit. Originally it was hard because they were such different people. “Early one it felt like our difference were our greatest weakness, quickly we learned however that our difference were also our greatest strength, because there is certain aspects of the team that get complimented through Eli’s giftings versus Jordans gifting versus my giftings. He believes that all of their differences help them reach more students and make it a more inviting environment to many different students. Ryans struggle of getting onto the hang of the youth group- due to conditions and the past The team works together on conflict now and they do it great at it because all of their personalities cover all the bases in The third person I talked with was the upperclassmen Jeremy Tate. He is a junior in high school and he has been apart of Summit ever since he could be apart of it. He knows the events from the past and is a mature student, Tate is also one of the more prominent student leaders of Summit. The fourth person I spoke with was Eric Shell. Shell is a volunteer leader at Summit. He is one of the more well known volunteers and he is practically a part of the youth staff. Shell is also very smart and funny. He is good at analyzing and knows how to say it in the most understandable way. After Shell I talked with a group of underclassmen girls. Rachel Macklin, Kierstin Spear and Emma O’connor about their thoughts on the youth group. Each one of these girls are regulars at summit and even though they are freshman they had great things to say. I then talked to Allison McGovern Sullivan. Allison is the wife of Ryan Sullivan. She is the other well known volunteer. Allison is one of the leaders that many high school girls go to when they need someone to talk to.
