GLENN G. BARTLE DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS/A AWARD
NOMINATION FORM
Purpose:
The Glenn G. Bartle Distinguished Alumnus/a Award recognizes and honors a graduate who has
distinguished himself/herself since graduating from the University and serves as a memorial to Dr. Glenn
G. Bartle, the first President of Harpur College. This award honors alumni who have rendered
outstanding voluntary service to the Binghamton University community, while also serving their
communities, their careers and their country. This is the Alumni Association’s highest honor.
Criteria/Eligibility:
1. Nominee must be a graduate of Binghamton University. Please note that self-nominations will not be
considered.
2. Nominee must have provided outstanding, exceptional voluntary service to the University as well as
exhibit excellence in his/her field and/or service to society.
3. Nominee may not be a current member of the Binghamton University Alumni Association Board of
Directors or currently employed by Binghamton University.
Nomination Package:
1. Nomination Form
2. Nominator’s recommendation statement (up to two single-spaced pages) indicating why the nominee
is deserving of the award.
3. Nominee resume or biography and additional background information
4. Letters of support are strongly encouraged. Please submit a minimum of two and maximum of five.
Limit of two pages per letter.
