ANTON BENSON PRODUCTIONS LTD PRESENTS
TV STARS DIANE KEEN AND GRAHAM COLE
TO TOUR IN BITTERSWEET COMEDY
YOU’RE NEVER TOO OLD
Following a celebrated critical response at 2014’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Steve Wood’s debut play, You’re Never
Too Old – a wry comedy for two actors of a certain age - marks its first UK tour this autumn when it opens at the
Yeovil Octagon on September 11th 2015.
Diane Keen (best known for her roles as Fliss Hawthorne in The Cuckoo Waltz, Jenny Burden in The Ruth Rendell
Mysteries and Julia Parsons in the long-running BBC soap Doctors) and Graham Cole famed for his role as PC Tony
Stamp in the long-running drama The Bill star in this one-act bittersweet comedy that examines relationships,
loneliness and humanity.
When Tommy and Ada meet on a park bench it is all too clear they are from very different backgrounds; but as they
begin to confide secrets and recount memories, could this be the start of something special for such an unlikely pair?
The story that emerges is sad, funny and bittersweet. Steve Wood’s script is subtle, full of telling detail and delightful
turns of phrase that bring to mind Alan Bennett or Victoria Wood. Danusia Iwaszko directs this charming two-hander
for Anton Benson Productions Ltd.
Diane Keen has been a household name and popular fixture on British television for many years, starring in such comedy
shows such as THE CUCKOO WALTZ, RINGS ON THEIR FINGERS and YOU MUST BE THE HUSBAND with Tim Brooke Taylor
and FOXY LADY. Diane has appeared in numerous television programmes including the acclaimed SANDBAGGERS,
SHILLINGBURY TALES, SEPTEMBER SONG, RUTH RENDELL MYSTERIES, BROOKSIDE and DOCTORS. She has also guest starred
in many shows such as, THE PROFESSIONALS, TAGGERT, MINDER, A TOUCH OF FROST, TRUE CRIME and most recently NEW
TRICKS. Diane has also guest starred in many light entertainment shows including BRUCE MEETS THE GIRLS, THE TWO

MULBERRY BUSH, THE SWEENEY MOVIE (awarded Most Promising Newcomer), THIRTEEN AT DINNER, SILVER DREAM
RACER, SLEEPS SIX, JUDAS AND JESUS and most recently NOWHERE IN AFRICA. Diane's credits include many stage
performances including a season at the Bristol Old Vic and tours of SAME TIME NEXT YEAR, LADYBIRD, THE VAGINA
