Who?
Disciple Now is an event for Youth grades 7th-12th
What?
Disciple Now is a weekend youth retreat style event. It includes Bible
study led by Young adults or college students. Whole group worship
sessions led by Doug Compton (whom you can check out at
www.dougcompton.com). There will be a worship band including
members of the FBC Youth team. In addition, there will be fun activities
and free time with all attendees, small group leaders and members of host
families.
When?
Disciple Now will be held Dec. 4, 5, and 6. Check-in time will be start at
5:30…but will cut off until Saturday morning (in case of prior engagement
that a student cannot get out of on Friday night). Youth will be free to
leave on Sunday the 6th right after morning worship.
Where?
Activities will take place at FBC, at homes of church members, and will venture into the
community as well as a possible mission field in the nearby area. Students will be
transported by bus to and from all locations. Youth will be housed in volunteer host
homes in the Mountain View area and will be grouped together in like age-groups and
gender.
Registration?
Registration will not end until Saturday the 5 th of Dec., but we cannot promise correct t-shirt
sizes unless registered by November 25th. You may turn in completed forms at Sunday
School at FBC, at the Remedy on Wednesday nights, by handing it to someone on the
youth team, or mailing it to Mountain View First Baptist Church, PO box 1330, Mountain
View, MO 65548
What to bring
Bible, notepad, pen, Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Modest Sleep-wear, Bath Towel(s), toiletries,
Jacket/Coat (some activities will take place outdoors) clothing for 3 days of activities (we
will wear our DNOW T-shirts for Sunday morning service.
What NOT to bring
Anything that will distract you or other students from what they need to be focused
on for the weekend. You may bring your phone, but we ask that they not be brought into the
study times, or services.
