Entering this competition constitutes acknowledgement that PCAV rules apply and acceptance of
these rules.
No Stallions, colts or rigs allowed.
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
Gear check is compulsory for Pony Club members, for non-PCAV members, gear check is required if
entering Handy Mount
All competitors must wear correct `standards’ numbered helmets as specified in PCAV gear rules.
Spot checks may occur and incorrect helmet will mean elimination. Approved footwear and
armbands must also be worn.
For pony club members – membership cards to be presented the secretaries desk prior to be
competing. Full pony club uniform to be worn in ring 1
Queries, protests, horse abuse and doping rules as per the PCAV Handbook of By-Laws.
Alcohol policy – Officials and riders are not permitted to consume alcohol 8 hours prior or during the
competition. Underage drinking is not permitted, for others drinking is not encouraged.
No refunds.
Plaiting is optional.
Snaffle bits only ring 1 and 3
All competitors entering the open competition- including pony club members must sign a public
liability declaration form. Riders without adequate Insurance liability cover must also complete the
day waiver form and pay $10 per day fee. Participants who are current members of PCAV, HRCAV,
EA, an interstate pony club, AHSA, AERA or can provide proof that they are covered by public liability
insurance policy with a minimum of 10,000.000.00 cover are exempt.
PCAV members may ride in an open section providing eligibility is proven in membership card in
accordance with the PCAV Handbook of by-laws.
The Organising Committee reserves the right to cancel any class or competition: divide any class;
alter times; refuse any entry with or without stating the reason.
Neither the organising committee of this competition nor the PCAV accepts any responsibility
whatsoever for any accident, damage, injury or illnesses to horses, riders, ground spectators or any
other person or property.
Lunging policy – lunging can only be done in designated lunging area.

About Us
We are a small Club based in the Western suburbs that was
originally established in the I950’s and still going strong.
With a new committee focusing on rider enjoyment &
learning, smaller classes and a good sized club ground your
child will have 'one on one' time with the instructor without
feeling left behind.
At Truganina Pony Club we aim to have fun while learning
about horsemanship and teamwork!
