A total of 244 cattle sera from Thailand, Brazil and Ghana were analysed for the presence of MSA-1 of Babesia bovis by PCR and DNA sequences were conducted. A total of 71 cattle sera from Sri Lanka were analysed for the presence of major piroplasm surface protein (MPSP) by PCR and DNA sequences were conducted. Prevalence and genetic diversity of equine piroplasms in Mongolia A total of 250 horse sera from Mongolia were analysed for the presence of antibodies against B. caballi and T. equi ELISA by PCR.
