Your final grade will be determined by the total number of points received compared to the total number of points available. This course is graded on a straight 90%, 80% etc... scale. I do not round grades. Students should check their grade repeatedly during the semester on Aeries! The students have access to a computer everyday in the class lab, before and after school. The library is also open before and after school.
*** Please note that the syllabus is only a guideline. The dates of quizzes and tests may change
.
Homework is to be turned in on time. One point is taken off for each day late. Grading on a 4 point scale means that a student’s possible grade for late work goes down one letter grade each day. It is the student’s responsibility to find out what the homework assignment was during the class that was missed. The student is still responsible for turning in that assignment!!!!
Assignments are posted in Google Classroom. All students are required to maintain their
Google Calendar, check their PYLUSD Gmail accounts and their Aeries accounts daily.
Students are required to ask for permission to use their electronic devices for instructional purposes ONLY! We use them for Gmail, Google Calendaring, Google Classroom, and other appropriate information used in the the class. Students have access to the school network by logging into WiFi under the STUDENT network for PYLUSD.
