MOYNE AC (27/11/13) County Juvenile “B” & Novice “B” Cross Country Championships took place in Middlepiece, Turnpike, Two Mile Borris on Sunday last. Well done to Victoria Lupton who finished in 1st place in the Girls U11 race also winning 1st place team medal along with Aisling Hickey who finished 6th & Aine Duggan 7th well done girls. Also, very well done to Anna Daly finishing in 3 rd place in the Girls U9 race. The U13 Girls won Bronze team medals Laura Daly 6th, Shannon Boland 7th & Leah Ralph 8th. Other individual medal winners were in the Girls U11 race Aisling Hickey 6th and Aine Duggan 7th. In the Boys U9 race Diarmuid Campion finished 8th and Daniel Moore 9th. Well done to you all. Great results for our Ladies in the 3K Novice “B” Cross Country Championships wining a County Title and Gold team title. A great performance by Frances Long winning a County Title finishing in 1st place (13:01) and Bridge Gleeson hot on her heels for 2nd(13:03), Patricia Ryan 10th (14:07) these Ladies won Gold team medals, Leah McCormack 14th(14:36), Breda McNamara 15th(14:43), Catherine Dunne 17th(15:44), Aisling Maher 18th (15:51) & Liz Power 19th(16:12). Well done Ladies. In the Mens Novice “B” over 6k Jodie Sweeney finished 8th (22:56), Paddy Doyle 11th(23:09), Richard Daly 12th(23:19), Patrick Bowe 18th (25:12) & Ray Power 20th(25:34). The men finished in 4th team place losing out by 1 point for 3rd. Well done to all. National Inter-County & Juvenile Even Age Cross Country Championships: took place in Santry Demesne, Dublin on Sunday the 17th November. A great performance was put in by all our athletes. The first race was the Girls U12 Rachel Butler finished 29th and Aisling Dwyer 178th and in the U12 Boys race Charlie Tobin finished 60th and Ciaran Lloyd 134th. In the Girls U14 race Roisin Daly finished 69th and in the Boys U14 race Jack Hickey finished 79th and Brian Maher 101st. Well done to all our athletes and thanks to their parents and coaches for their continued support. Munster Juvenile “B” & Masters Cross Country Championships will take place in Beaufort, Co. Kerry on Sunday 1st December at 11:30am. The following athletes have been entered and are asked to be at the event by 10:30am to walk the course, get numbers, singlets, warm up etc; Louise Hickey, Helen Cleere, Tara Gleeson, Aoife Dwyer, Rachel Cleary, Aisling Hickey, Katie Bergin, Aisling Dwyer, Niamh Ryan, Lorna Hayes, Erica Carroll, Charlie Tobin, Brian Maher, Dylan McLoughlin, Nathan Bowe, Lorcan Troy, Bill Hogan, Harry Hogan, and Eoin Troy. Important Notice: Due to Health & Safety issues all children under 14 years of age attending training are required to be signed IN and OUT by a parent/guardian on each training night.
