ISO Compliance: The manufacturer shall operate a Quality Management System under the requirements
of ISO 9001. These standards sponsored by the "International Organization for Standardization (ISO)"
specify the quality systems that shall be established by the manufacturer for design, manufacture,
installation and service. A copy of the certificate of compliance shall be included with the bid. In the
absence of ISO 9001 participation, each proposal shall contain information and proof-positive to quality
control systems and standards utilized in service to the intent of this section.
Tires: Front tires shall be Michelin 445/65R22.50 radials or equivalent, 20 ply "all position" XZY 3
tread. The tires shall be mounted on painted steel or aluminum disc-type wheels with a ten (10) stud,
11.25" bolt circle.
Rear eight (8) Michelin 315/80R22.50 radials, 20 ply "on/off road" XDY3 tread or equivalent. The tires
shall be mounted on painted steel or aluminum 22.50" x 9.00" disc wheels or equivalent with a ten (10)stud 11.25" bolt circle.

Windshield: A safety glass windshield shall be installed. The windshield shall be full width and shall
provide the occupants with a panoramic view. The windshield shall consist of three (3) layers: the outer
light, the middle safety laminate, and the inner light. The .114" thick outer light layer shall provide
superior chip resistance. The middle safety laminate layer shall prevent the windshield glass pieces from
detaching in the event of breakage. The inner light shall provide yet another chip resistant layer. The
cab windshield shall be bonded to the aluminum windshield frame using a urethane adhesive. A custom
fit pattern shall be applied on the outside perimeter of the windshield for a finished automotive
appearance.

Intercom System: A David Clark 3800 wireless intercom, dual radio system or equivalent shall be
provided. Intercom stations shall be located at the driver, officer, and jump seats. The driver and officer
stations shall have dual radio/intercom transmit/receive capability. Intercom shall be activated by voice
and radio activation shall be push-button. The jump seat stations shall be radio receive and intercom
transmit/receive. The David Clark wireless communication system or equivalent shall be interfaced with
the aerial communication system. This system shall contain the following equipment;

3-Way Aerial Communication System: A David Clark intercom system or equivalent shall be provided.
A fixed station shall be located at the pump panel and shall have a push to talk button and volume
control. A base station shall be located at the turntable control console and shall have a push to talk
button, volume control, and a master on/off switch. A remote station shall be located at the tip of the
aerial platform and shall have hands-free operation when headsets are not in use and volume control.
Each base unit shall be equipped with a power, status light.
Each intercom unit shall be weatherproof.

Rear FMVSS Lighting: The rear stop/tail and directional lighting shall consist of the following:
 Two (2) Whelen, Model 60R00BRR or equivalent, red LED stop/tail lights.
 Two (2) Whelen, Model 60A00TAR or equivalent, amber LED populated arrow turn lights.
These lights shall be installed at the rear of the truck in a four-light, polished housing.
Four (4) red reflectors shall be provided.
A license plate bracket shall be mounted at the rear in a highly visible location where it does not interfere
with other equipment. An LED light shall illuminate the license plate.
Two (2) Whelen, Model: 60J000CU or equivalent backup lights shall be provided.
The three (3) identification lights located at the rear on the basket shall be installed per the following:
 Ri-Tar, Model M27 or equivalent, red LED light
 As close as practical to the vertical centerline.
 Centers spaced not less than six (6) inches or more than twelve (12) inches apart.
 All at the same height.
 To be visible from the rear.
The four (4) clearance lights located at the rear on the body shall be installed per the following:
 Ri-Tar, Model M27 or equivalent, red LED light
 To indicate the overall width of the vehicle.
 One (1) each side of the vertical centerline.
 All at the same height.
 As near the top as practical.
 To be visible from the rear and the side.
o One (1) each side, facing the side.
o One (1) each side, facing the rear.
Per FMVSS 108 and CMVSS 108 requirements.
