SCORING CRITERIA for OUTSTANDING PHILANTHROPIC SMALL or MEDIUM
CORPORTATION AWARD (<1,000 local employees)
 Please answer the following scoring criteria with a response, not to exceed 750 words.
 Entries/essays will be judged on the quality of the answers for the scoring criteria.
 Nominations should address the scoring criteria completely, clearly, and concisely.
 The most compelling nominations speak to how the nominee has directly impacted
your organization and the others with whom you may be nominating.
*30. Provide evidence of philanthropic support of successful approaches to solving
problems in the Greater Austin community. (0-45 points) (300 words maximum)
*31. Describe the total impact of gift support and achievements accomplished
through the business’s efforts. (0-35 points) (300 words maximum)
*32. Provide evidence of encouragement and motivation given to others to take
leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement in the Greater
Austin area. (0-20 points) (300 words maximum)

Up to two letters of support may be included with each nomination and must be provided
by someone outside of the nominating organization(s). Letters should be submitted via
email to info@afpaustin.org by 5pm on August 28, 2015, with the subject line, “Letter of
Support – Nominee Name” (e.g. Letter of Support – ABC Charitable Foundation, or Letter of
Support – Jane and John Doe). If more than two letters of support are received for one
candidate, the first two letters will be reviewed in the order they were received and
additional letters will be excluded from the review process.
Additional information may be requested to supplement a nomination. Any requests
