The Trauma Services (T.S.) Open supports post-hospital trauma recovery for our patients who have suffered a
brain injury and supports community outreach to prevent serious injuries. Proceeds from the tournament will
allow these efforts to continue for the residents of our community so they can get healthy and stay healthy.

Through Safe Guilford, our community injury prevention program, we prevent common injuries among children and older adults.
The Trauma Services (T.S.) Open was created to support two main initiatives:
Post-hospital recovery for trauma patients. Many trauma patients have suffered a traumatic brain injury due to an accident.
Ongoing and consistent recovery care is limited and costly preventing some patients from recovering to their potential.
Community injury prevention. In addition to interactive education, Safe Guilford provides safety equipment like bike helmets and
car seats to low-income families when resources are available.
