The Sterling L. Smith
Scholarship Fund will
award one scholarship
in an amount of $1,000
to a student attending
one of the member
colleges of the South
Carolina Independent
Colleges and
Universities. The
recipient will be chosen
by a Scholarship
Selection Committee,
and will be known as
the Sterling L. Smith
Independent College
Scholar. The award will
be applied to tuition,
fees, books, and room
and board.
The J. Lacy McLean
Endowment Award
Scholarship Program
will award one
scholarship to a student
representing one of the
member colleges of the
South Carolina
Independent Colleges
and Universities. Each
of the twenty member
colleges has been asked

sophomore, junior, or senior.
