PONTIAC ARTISTS’ ASSOCIATION 2015-2016 Vision Make the Association a driving force for the development of arts and culture in the Pontiac region. Mission To promote, defend and develop the social, artistic and professional interests of its members through training and dissemination activities that will enable them to improve and actively contribute to the cultural development of the Pontiac. Goals To fulfill its mission, the Pontiac Artists' Association will devote its efforts to: • • • • Ensuring the dissemination of works of its members and their professional development; Creating relationships promoting collaboration between artists and local and regional cultural organizations; Becoming a major player in the development of the cultural environment of the region through diversification and increasing the frequency of its engagements; Contributing to the development of the clientele for the arts by reaching new audiences. Objectives The medium and long term objectives of the Pontiac Artists Association can be stated as follows: • • • • • • Promoting artists and the arts by organizing traveling exhibitions and creating a multidisciplinary cultural space; Supporting the development of the Pontiac School of the Arts, the Pontiac Artists’ Studio Tour, the Stone School Gallery, and other related projects; Collaborating with other cultural organizations, building partnerships and participating in various cultural projects in the Outaouais region; Diversifying sources of income; Getting the services of a full-time coordinator for the Association; Offering a diverse program of cultural events.
