Biography
Domenic DeCaria has spent the last nine years with The Lubrizol Corporation, and has specialized in the
plumbing segment for the last three years. Domenic has been on the forefront of product development,
leading the introduction of multilayer pipe into both domestic and global markets. Domenic has an
extensive background in the chemical industry, making him a leader in growing product application
opportunities in the market globally. He has led growth and brand advocacy initiatives for the plumbing
segment of CPVC business in the North American region, serving customers through collaborative
demand creation models and marketing activities. Previously, Domenic developed a diverse background
in construction materials as a process engineer in the chemical industry.
Jeff Gibson, Key Accounts Manager, The Lubrizol Corporation
Biography
Jeff Gibson has spent more than 25 years in the fire sprinkler industry and has been with The Lubrizol
Corporation since 2001. Previously, Jeff served in several management positions at Lubrizol. Jeff has
NICET certification in fire alarm and special hazard systems and is a member of the American Fire
Sprinkler Association, National Fire Sprinkler Association, Society of Fire Protection Engineers and
National Fire Protection Association. Additionally, Jeff is a board member of the Ohio Fire Safety
Coalition.
Matthew Kuwatch, Global Business Director, Fire Protection & Industrial Systems, The Lubrizol
Corporation
Biography
Matthew Kuwatch has spent more than 20 years in the building and construction industry, serving the
last 12 with The Lubrizol Corporation. Matthew has served in multiple management positions within the
company, advancing his knowledge and expertise in codes and compliances within the fire protection
and industrial systems market, as well as the environmental impacts of CPVC systems. Matthew is a
member of the National Fire Protection Association, National Fire Sprinkler Association, American Fire
Sprinkler Association, Canadian Fire Sprinkler Association, Fire Protection Association Australia and
Home Fire Sprinkler Association. Matthew is also the founder and chairman of the board of trustees for
the Ohio Fire Safety Coalition, helping raise money for the Paul and Carol David Foundation Burn
Institute at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Jeff Landon, Piping Systems Consultant, The Lubrizol Corporation
Biography
Jeff Landon has a 28-year history in the California construction marketplace and is now serving as a
piping systems consultant for Lubrizol CPVC. His background includes distribution, product
representation, and direct contracting of plumbing services to builders and general contractors. His
positions included sales, estimating and operational responsibilities. His current position has him
heavily involved with the application of CPVC products in California, which includes both the growing
use of CPVC for plumbing applications, and implementation of the Residential Fire Sprinkler
requirements for single-family homes. He is currently an active member of the BIA, ICC San Diego,
California Building Officials, American Society of Plumbing Engineers and several fire sprinkler
associations.
Mark Lemire, Piping Systems Consultant, The Lubrizol Corporation
Biography
Mark Lemire has been involved in the plumbing supply industry for 24 years serving in numerous
management and sales positions, strengthening his knowledge in the plumbing industry. Mark joined
The Lubrizol Corporation in 2005, and has been working as a piping systems consultant for FlowGuard
Gold® and Corzan® Piping Systems for commercial plumbing applications. Mark was the recipient of
Lubrizol’s 2007 Winners Circle Award, an award that recognizes leaders within the company on business
support services, operations, innovation, sales, marketing and customer service.
Peter Mullen, Piping Systems Consultant, The Lubrizol Corporation
Biography
Peter Mullen has more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and new business development
in the plastic piping industry. He has spent the last 17 years working with CPVC at The Lubrizol
Corporation specializing in plumbing, industrial and fire protection applications. Prior to his current
position, Peter worked with CPVC building products in exterior cladding, where PVC products could not
handle heat buildup, making him an asset in conveying the benefits of CPVC piping systems. Peter’s
additional experience includes sales in other thermoplastic piping materials, including vinyl, polyolefins
and fluoropolymers.
John Nunnari, General Manager, Lubrizol CPVC, The Lubrizol Corporation
Biography
John Nunnari is the general manager for the Lubrizol CPVC division. Prior to working for The Lubrizol
Corporation, John worked in the oil and gas industry. His diverse background and experience makes him
well equipped for advancing CPVC piping systems, specifically helping to advance the commercial piping
market. John has spent the last 17 years with Lubrizol, serving in multiple roles within the company,
including an assignment at the company’s Hazlewood, UK, facility, as well as management positions for
the automatic transmission, farm tractor fluids, driveline commercial vehicles and industrial business
segments. John is currently a member of the Plastic Pipe and Fittings Association (PPFA).
Mark Tanner, Piping Systems Consultant, The Lubrizol Corporation
Biography
Mark Tanner has spent 30 years in the consulting engineering field along with achieving his “Certified in
Plumbing/Piping Design” designation. Mark has spent a great majority of that time designing plumbing,
piping, HVAC and fire protection systems and project management for numerous projects in various
applications. Mark has been with The Lubrizol Corporation since 2008, working to educate customers on
the technical aspects of CPVC piping systems and how they may fit into various construction projects.
