It is aiming at reveal a sensitive, alert and analytical mind of the scholars, academicians, students and the common masses with deep concern for the development of sustainable biodiversity in the region. The main aim and objective of the Seminar is to find the causes and effect of the degradation of the biodiversity in NERI in spite of the huge potentiality. Further, it is aiming at reveal the deep concern on the conservation of the biosphere reserves for the sustainability of the ecosystem in the region in natural manner. Beside the significance of the socio-economic frame work, the initiatives are found not to be optimum as per the requirement of the region. The rich heritage of the region are ruined down by various elements in the region, the proposed seminar targeted to discuss these elements and find some remedial for the management of biodiversity in the region. In spite of all facilities from the government sector the biosphere reserves of the region are found to be endangered. The inland water bodies of the plain areas and swamps or wet- land are much vanished in today’s world, which were supposed to have great potential for the rich biomes of the region. The seminar will gather the concern of conservation of the existing biomes for the sustainability of the biodiversity in the region. It will provide the arena to find out the upcoming hindrances/ hurdles in the process of biodiversity management and conservation in the north eastern region of India. The developmental works as provided by the Central or the State Government, in many forms are implemented for the protection of wild life, but the globalization and urbanization are few hindrances evolved against biodiversity. Yes, these schemes help many to maintain a good environment for the maintenance of biomes, but still there are demands of questions, Is it sustainable in North Eastern Region of India? Is there farther scope for batter management? What are the threats of biodiversity in NER? Who are working for the protection and conservation of it? etc. All are involved in these practices of biodiversity development and conservation of the region. The seminar will open these targeted quarries and many more to be discussed and find some conclusion for the better managerial polities for the sustainability of the biodiversity of the North Eastern Region of India. Any other related topic. A brief outline of Bordoloni Central College : Bordoloni Central College (BCC) was set up in 1997 at Bordoloni under Dhemaji District, which is socio-economically backward. This college was established with view to impart higher education to the poor and needy people of the locality. The college campus is well linked by roads and railways which provides an opportunity for students to come from different places in between Dhemaji and Gogamukh. At present the college imparts education in degree level in arts stream having major courses in 12 (twelve) subjects including Assamese, English, Political Science, Economics, Education, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Hindi, Anthropology, Geography and Mathematics, along with different parallel/career oriented courses in Computer Application, Cutting & Knitting, Yoga & Physical Education and Spoken English with an experienced and efficient teaching stuff. Besides, the college has been imparting MA courses in Assamese, English, Political Science, Economics, Education, Mathematics and Sociology under Distance Education, Dibrugarh University. Thus, the BCC has carved a niche for itself in the educational firmament of the entire Bordoloni Mouza of Dhemaji district, Assam.
