Greetings Dunbar Class of 2015 Students and Families,
Welcome to your final year of high school! The Senior year is a busy, strenuous but exciting year. You all
have put in a lot of work to get to this momentous point, but the work does not stop here. While the
Dunbar 2015 Senior Class is studying hard and striving to be the best they can be, there are four Dunbar
Staff members who have stepped up to support and motivate this Dunbar Team 2015 Senior Class. The
Senior Class Advisors are Tyesha “Coach Ty” Clark, Ms. Samantha Scalise, Mrs. Teresa Pack-Wingfield,
Mrs. P. Hendricks and Dr. Sharon Gorenstein. Our plan is to work with the Senior Class Officers/Council,
the Administration and the Senior Class families to make this last memorable time in the high school life
of the senior students to be the best it can be. Below are the major activities planned and dues needed to
carry them out. Class dues for the senior year are integral to the planning of events and early reservation
of facilities. Please, we ask for your support in any way you can and to ensure that the dues are paid in a
timely manner.
The major activities/items that class dues (covering the decorations, rental, deposits and services
rendered) will consist of:
 Inauguration – 10/3/2014 @ 9 a.m. Dunbar Auditorium
 Prom – Date, Location and Time TBA
 Farewell – Date, Location and Time TBA
 Parent Appreciation Dinner – Date, Location and Time TBA
 Graduation – 5/29/15 or 5/30/15 Time TBA
 Class T-Shirts
 Yearbook
For the participation in the major activities/events that will take place, the Senior Class dues are
$300.00. This can be paid through the following installments/due dates:
 October 2, 2014- $50.00 *Must be in to participate in Senior Inaugural Ceremony on 10/3/14
 December 12, 2014-$75.00
 January 9, 2015- $75.00
 February 6, 2015- $50.00
 March 6, 2015- $50.00
All dues can be paid in advance. These dues must be paid in the cash or money order given to Coach
Ty, the Ms. Scalise or Mrs. Wingfield by the due dates to ensure the students participation in all events.
Paper receipts as well as email receipts will be provided to all parents.
The senior class trip will be funded through fundraisers sponsored by the senior class throughout the year.
More information will follow. As other opportunities arise, hopefully the senior class can take part in
other activities or events to help make this school year a successful and fulfilling one.

have primary professional responsibilities as staff members here at Dunbar and respectfully ask that if you
would like to meet in person that it take place by appointment or before or after school (instructional time)
hours. We would welcome and appreciate your assistance at any one of the activities.

Phil Thompson, our College Access Program Specialist and other academic related dates and times. Stay
tuned for other dates and times and we are in the planning process for many of them at this very moment.
