Being an WIN Peer Mentor

WIN Student Coordinators-
TBA
TERM OF POSITION: 1 academic year – Approximately 1-2 hrs per week.

Depends on time with mentee
DUTIES:

Meet 1-on-1 with your assigned mentee; keep in contact on a weekly basis.

Support your mentee in achieving personal and academic success.

Participation in fall and spring semester meeting sessions that happen every other week in the evening (Example: every other Tuesday 5pm-6pm)

Attend WIN social outings whenever possible.

Encouraging participation, supporting positive and inclusive behavior, and having fun!
REQUIREMENTS:

Subscribe to the mission and goals of WIN.

Maintain good academic standing while acting in mentor capacity.

Mentor must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA at end of Spring 2015
(which will be verified by Director).

Maintaining effective and responsible communication with WIN Director and student coordinator team.

Complete mentor training, to take place at the beginning of Fall 2015.

Full participation at WIN Retreat- Fall 2015.

Mandatory participation in all WIN related events/meetings unless otherwise excused with good reason.


Maturity and strong work ethic

Outstanding leadership abilities
