Welcome to Session 164 – Veterinarians in Government, Part II Dr. Mudahar is the deputy district manager with the Food Safety Inspection Service of the United States Department of Agriculture's Chicago district office. Previously, he worked as a foodborne disease specialist with the Illinois Department of Public Health. As a member of the Infectious Diseases Rapid Response Team, he has worked very closely with CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service officers, local health departments, FDA, USDA and health departments of other states. Dr. Mudahar also served as a chairperson on the Food Safety Education Task Force for three years and as a member of FDA-Illinois Food Safety Advisory Committee. He also has numerous publications to his credit. Please Welcome Dr. Mudahar Dr. Nick Wagner is the Assistant Chief of the Division of Meat Inspection at the Ohio Department of Agriculture. His leadership of this division helps assure all meat and poultry establishments within the state program are producing safe, wholesome and truthfully labeled products in a sanitary environment. Dr. Wagner began his career in veterinary medicine working as a food animal practitioner in private clinical practice for 7 years in both Indiana and Ohio. In the summer of 2012, he joined ODA as a regional veterinarian for the division of meat inspection. Dr. Wagner was promoted to the Assistant Chief in December of 2013. Please Welcome Dr. Nick Wagner
