The major priorities of our organizations are: - Promoting sport and PA as a way of being healthy - both mind and body; - To encourage people to be socially responsible and to work towards creating a healthy and responsible society. - To create opportunities for young people to acquire needed life skills (team work, leadership, decision taking, and creativity) through sport; - To transfer good European practices in the Bulgarian context. As a national organization for alternative sport for all, BG Be Active (formally known as WOW Sport) has been at the forefront of development and implementation of activities of specific European relevance. This can be seen by our European week of sport and physical activities coordination efforts and as a reliable partner and financial beneficiary of International Sports and Culture association for example: • BGBAA has successfully coordinated the European Week of Sport and Physical Activity in Plovdiv and Bulgaria in two consecutive years - 2012 and 2013; • BGBAA has successfully managed the EYF youth project "SETYL" - Social entrepreneurship implemented in the city of Plovdiv; • BGBAA has successfully delivered 2 projects - one through the Youth in Action Projects, and one trough the Norwegian grants program. All of our initiatives aim to promote innovative approaches and strengthen the HEPA (health enhancing physical activity) sector in Bulgaria. The coordination of MOVE Week in Bulgaria is the most recent and best example of BGBAA's on-going efforts in this field.
