Basketball League – Term 4
Your child has shown an interest in taking part in a basketball league for Term 4. It is really important that
parents read over the information carefully, fill in and return the form to school, with payment, and to keep in
the mind the following dates:

All games will take place at Hamilton City Leisure Centre (YMCA), 36 Pembroke Street, Hamilton.
We are looking for parents to coach their child’s team. Without coaches, I will not be able to enter a team for
your children. I am looking at having teams of 8. There is a cost of $33 per child. I intend to ensure that all
children get the opportunity to play basketball this term, but it will depend on the number of parents that are
able to coach a team. If your child is not able to be put into a team this term, there will an opportunity to play
later on during the year. Once I have received all permission forms, I will send home a notice with your child’s
team and other important information.
If you give permission for your child to play basketball during Term 4, can you please fill in the attached form
and return it to school by Wednesday 24th September. It is really important that all forms are returned to
school by this date, or children will miss out on taking part in the competition. Parents will be responsible for
getting their children to the YMCA and for collecting them after their game. Please can all parents ensure that
they are actively supervising any children that are not playing.
