Doug Kniss ’80 Shares His Experience with

Students

A huge thank you to

Doug

Kniss

’80 for visiting campu s in

April to meet with and mentor students. A biology and psychology major at SU, Doug is now director of the laboratory in the

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ohio

State University. Research interests in the lab include stem cell biology, tissue engineering, and signal transduction and inflammation. During his time on campus, Doug lectured in several classes, had lunch with students and shared his own career experiences.

Alumni Connections Lead to Job Offer

Students continue to succeed in making connections at our speed-networking events and through SU Bridge. Kirk Eckenrode , a senior, connected with Ryan Franks ’02 at the Pittsburgh event. Ryan made a call to a colleague in

Williamsport and Kirk got an interview with that company. Similarly, Fran Brzyski , also a senior, connected with Jameson Troutman ’02 through

SU Bridge. Fran has been offered a position with

JPMorgan Chase & Co. and says, “It’s all thanks to

SU Bridge,” and a little help from Jameson. Thanks to all of our alumni who continue to support

Susquehanna students! To see a short video clip from this event, click here .

Don’t Miss Spring Fling 2011

This year’s

Spring

Fling for all alumni is

June 3 –5 .

This is your opportunity to stay on campus and reconnect with old friends. This year we have added an All-

This is also the weekend that the gallery is hosting an opening reception for the Early Summer

Exhibition, “Simon Snyder of Pennsylvania: Citizen and Governor 1759 –1819.” Downtown you can visit a farmer’s market and take a historical walking tour of Selinsgrove. For a full schedule of events and to register, go to www.sualum.com/springfling2011 .
