Dear Parents & Guardians,
American Education Week—November 16-20, 2015—presents us with a wonderful opportunity to celebrate
public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality
education.
This year we will be offering a variety of opportunities for parents and guardians to visit our classrooms. These
opportunities are listed on the attached Visitation Schedule. In addition to visiting our classrooms on Thursday,
November 19, we would also like to invite our guests to enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch with their child. Lunch will
include carved to order oven roasted turkey with creamy gravy, savory stuffing, warm dinner roll, whipped
potatoes, seasoned green beans, chilled peaches, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and choice of milk (students) or
water (adults). The cost of this meal will be $2.55 for students and $5.00 for adults. The meal can be charged to
your child’s lunch account or paid for in cash.
If you are able to join us for lunch, please complete and return the response at the bottom of the page by Friday,
November 13. Your response is important for catering purposes.
In an effort to keep distractions to a minimum, only adult guests will be permitted to visit the classrooms and we
respectfully ask that no photographs be taken.

Kindergarten: Feel free to join your child for an Interactive Read Aloud with some fun follow-up activities.
