Paraders and Judges
15 years and under – age is of the 7th of Nov.
16 years and over – age is of the 7th of Nov.
Paraders class will be broken into a number of heats allowing schools with more
students than steers to give most students a chance to parade.
Conditions of Entry











Cattle under the weight of 380kg will not be eligible to compete in hoof or
hook competitions.
Cattle must be at least fat score 3 to be eligible to compete and to be killed.
Only milk tooth steers or heifers are eligible.
All animals must be HGP free.
All animals must be quiet. Unruly and unsafe animals may be disqualified.
All stock must be in control at all times, nose ring/dog to be used at all times
and neck chains for tying up at night unless stock are in pens.
All cattle must be dehorned prior to arrival. Scurs less 3cm only.
All livestock must be prepared on the school farm for a minimum of seventy
days, therefore must be transferred to the School NLIS Data Base and be
travelling under the schools Vendor Declaration.
All animals must be presented for weighing between 10:00am and 1:00pm on
Wednesday the 7th of Nov. They must be accompanied by the appropriate
Vendor Declaration. (Consigned to Tenterfield Show Grounds).
The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The stewards and organisers will have the final say on any animals
disqualified for weight, fat score, HGP, dentition, school preparing stock for
70 days or any unsafe animals.
General Information









Plenty of covered in areas have been set aside with toilets and showers at the
show grounds for any school wishing to camp at the grounds.
Camping fees of $2 per person are required for any schools wishing to camp at
the Tenterfield show grounds.
Cheques for camping need to be made out to Tenterfield High School.
This event will be catered for from lunch time on Wednesday the 7th of Nov to
the following lunch time on the 8th of Nov. Drinks, sausage sandwiches, steak
sandwiches, bacon and egg burgers ect. will be supplied at a reasonable price.
A movie has been organised for 7:00pm on the Wednesday night at the local
cinema for any participating schools to attend.
Supervision of the students is the responsibility of the staff from the school
that the students attend. This means that students need to be actively
supervised during the two days of competition including night time and at the
movie.
Cattle can be placed in small pens proved or tied in stud cattle section at night
time.
Dust coats are optional for all events.
