CLINICIAN-EDUCATOR TRACK For non-tenure-eligible full-time, part-time and contributed service faculty The criteria for appointment and promotion on this track will be as follows: Instructor – Completion of formal education – Completion of clinical or post-doctoral training (where appropriate) Assistant Professor – For clinicians, board certification (or its equivalent) in a relevant specialty – Significant contributions to the academic mission of FSM as evidenced by local impact in two of the promotable categories of Clinical Impact and Recognition, Teaching and Education, Original Research, or Health and Services Management Associate Professor – A minimum of 6 years at the Assistant Professor level, except in unusual circumstances – Sustained pattern of excellence and impact in two promotable categories (Clinical Impact and Recognition, Teaching and Education, Original Research, or Health and Services Management) that has resulted in significant regional recognition of achievements Professor – Anticipate a minimum of 5 years at the Associate Professor level, except in unusual circumstances – Multiple contributions in two promotable areas (Clinical Impact and Recognition, Teaching and Education, Original Research, or Health and Services Management) with a substantial impact in the field that have resulted in national/international recognition of achievements
