Are you a current Head of Humanities with a Geography or History or Health and Social Care specialism looking for your next challenge? The Governors are seeking to appoint an inspirational Head of Humanities Faculty. This successful candidate will have strong motivational and leadership skills to drive the Humanities Team within the school. The person appointed will need to be an outstanding and creative Head able to deliver outstanding lessons and with the skills to lead and motivate a large faculty. The Head of Humanities Faculty post is one that will require intelligence, vision, commitment and the consistent role modelling of best practice for staff and pupils. It is also a tremendously exciting post and one that will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to shape and deliver our Humanities curriculum and play an integral role in developing a school that is a match for the very best in the private and state sectors. Ideal candidates will: Have experience of teaching at an outstanding level in either History or Geography or Health and Social Care. We are more than happy to consider candidates of limited experience if they can demonstrate their potential to be an outstanding Head of Faculty and founding member of staff. Have experience of raising attainment. Have the ability to establish and embed policies, systems and procedures that will enable our students to make excellent academic progress. In this role, you will have responsibility for: Development and implementation of the History, Geography and Social curricula and subject coordination across the school. Achievement of consistently outstanding teaching and learning in the Humanities. Achievement of outstanding academic attainment and progress in the Humanities. Embedding of the Catholic ethos and culture in the faculty and, as a member of the extended leadership team, across the school.
