INRODUCTION OF EVENT PRODUCERS MICHAEL STUART: Next generation Nuyorican salsa singer Michael was born January 5, 1975 in NYC of Puerto Rican parents who emigrated to the city in the '60s. He spent significant amounts of time both in New York and Puerto Rico throughout his childhood. Even without the advantage of formal training, he landed a gig singing background for the well-established Puerto Rican bandleader Wichy Camacho at the age of twenty. Through his connections with Camacho, Stuart met and was offered work with Johnny Rivera and Marc Anthony. Career highlights include the 2005 Latin Grammy nomination of his fifth disc Sin Miedo for Best Tropical-Contemporary Album and nominations for Billboard Music Awards in both 2006 and 2007. CARLOS MOJICA: Carlos began singing at the age of 15, gaining his experience by singing with local bands, where he was raised, in Orlando, Florida and later on sharing the stage with various artists including Ismael Miranda, Brenda K Starr, Luisito Carrion, Hector Tricoche, Lalo Rodriguez, Tito Puente Jr., and Johnny Polanco Y Su Conjunto Amistad (one of LA's top salsa bands). This young and talented Salsa singer delivers a very soulful, passionate and intense melodic voice combined with incredible soneo & rap skills as well as tight & masterful arrangements that are taking the Salsa world by storm with every song. WITO RODRIGUEZ: A Chicago born Puerto Rican, Wito has followed the musical field as a street singer and musician since childhood. In his teens, he started off playing in a small group as a guitar player in the rock and roll scene. He left Chicago in 1967 to live in the “Isla” de Puerto Rico, where he studied in Spanish schools and continued his musical career. He started looking into his roots and found that his most loved music was Latin music. His first opportunity in a “salsa” orchestra was with a great percussionist called “Chacon”. Wito learned all his Latin “ritmos” and the differences in percussion instruments and specialized himself in the maracas. Wito has performed on stage with artists to include Adalberto Santiago, Ismael Miranda, Tito Allen, Santitos Colon, Pete “El Conde” Rodriguez and the Queen of Salsa, Celia Cruz.
