Corrections and Language Feedback
My Skype Partner gave feedback about my language use.
I gave my Skype Partner feedback about his/her language use.
When I didn’t understand my partner, I asked for clarification.
Such clarification included:
Repeating
repeating in different words
describing, paraphrasing
switching languages
translating with a dictionary/google translate
writing down in the chat window
Language Benefits
I noticed new, so far unknown words/expressions during the
Skype conversations.
I later used words/expressions I had learned from my partner in
other situations.

Every now and then I had difficulties adjusting to these
differences.
Whenever there were cultural differences, I asked my partner
why he/she thinks this way.

Project-based Learning (Cityguide-Blog)
The Blog-project was integrated into the class in a sensible,
useful and appropriate way.
The cooperation via Skype was helpful and useful for the
completion of the Blog-Project.
In the future, I would prefer skypeing about topics without a
larger project in the background.
The aim of designing the blog was motivating for each of the
upcoming calls.
The group work for the blog-project was helpful and inspiring.
The conversations with my partner were inspiring and
helpful/necessary to achieve the goals of this project.
The time necessary to complete the Blog-project was
appropriate and manageable.
Support from the teacher throughout the blog project was

Skype Tandem Design:
calls in class versus at home
Designing the Skype Project with in-class calls is preferable over
privately organized calls at home
Designing the Skype Calls as part of one specific project is
preferable to calls at home about various topics.
In the future, the Skype calls should be continued within a larger
project like this one only

Making calls privately from home reduced my anxiety and I
enjoyed the privacy of it
