Performance Standards Attachment B
1. EVALUATION OF CONTRACTOR’S PERFORMANCE: UAF inspection and evaluation of the Contractor’s
performance will be based upon the Performance Standards and Task Frequencies set out below. Services provided
under this contract which do not meet these standards will not be accepted, and will be remedied in accordance with
UAF’s options for non-performance contained herein.
2. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS – GENERAL:
a. Perform all services using equipment and chemicals suitable for the task. Follow the instructions provided by the
manufacturers of such items in every case.
b. Remove all non-fixed furnishings such as tables, seats, chairs, desks, carts, trash and ash receptacles, storage
containers, etc. prior to performing a non-routine service, and return such items to their original position after the
completion, unless exempted by the Contract Administrator or Contract Inspector.
c.
Move or tilt all items such as chairs, seats, trash and ash receptacles, tables, storage containers, carts, etc. as
required to perform routine services next to, under or above such items.
d. Place adequate barricades and signs to provide sufficient warning prior to, during, and after the performance of
the services to insure the safety of personnel in the area.
3. BODILY FLUIDS, BIOHAZARDS, ETC. Dispose of in accordance with any federal, state, or local requirements. If
uncertain of the manner in which materials should be properly disposed, it is the Contractor’s responsibility to seek the
advice of the Contract Administrator prior to disposal. Notify Contract Administrator, and notify Environmental Health
& Safety regarding proper disposal.
4. BUILDING SURFACES - DUST: Use treated dust cloths (No Feather Dusters) or vacuum cleaners with dusting
attachments to remove all dust, lint, litter, dry soil, etc. from the surfaces of ledges, heater convectors, window sills,
fire extinguishers, counter tops, walls, door frames and sills, ceiling mounted fans, fixtures, partitions, rails, blinds, and
other types of fixtures and surfaces which are not considered to be furniture surfaces, or specialty equipment such as
test equipment, computers, typewriters, calculators etc., below nine (9) feet from the floor surface. Dust up to a height
of twenty (20) feet from the floor surface at the interior and exterior of exterior entry areas. Dusting is defined as the
removal of soil from an area, not merely moving it from one surface to another.
5. BUILDING SURFACES – SPOT CLEAN: Use clean damp cloths, scrub pads, spray bottles of detergent solution,
glass cleaner, or cream cleanser to remove smudges, fingerprints, marks, streaks, tape, etc. from the surfaces of
ledges, windows, partition glass, window sills and blinds, fire extinguishers, countertops, walls, doors, door frames
and sills, pictures, partitions, rails, and other types of fixtures and surfaces which are not considered to be furniture
surfaces or specialty equipment such as test equipment, computers, typewriters, calculators etc. below nine (9) feet
from the floor surface. Spot clean up to a height of ten (10) feet from the floor surface at the interior and exterior of
exterior entry areas. Polish stainless steel surfaces with glass cleaner and soft clean cloths. Use a clean cloth and
stainless steel polish to remove smudges, fingerprints, marks, streaks, tape, etc. that glass cleaner cannot remove.
Remove excess stainless steel polish.
6.
SRC Floor. The floor in the SRC is a Robbins Sports Surfaces, Pulastic Brand Floor. Instructions and frequency l for

7. Rifle Range The following procedures should be used when cleaning the Rifle Range:
The Rifle Range will be auto scrubbed on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. On all other days of the week the Rifle
Range will be mopped using De-lead solution. De-lead will be use in the rifle Range every day of the week. The blue
De-lead mats will be sprayed generously with De-lead Solution and squeezed off daily. All excess De-lead Solution
will be placed in the blue De-lead barrel in the storage closet room 127. Under no circumstances will De-lead solution
be poured into the drain, or disposed of in any other manner.
Equipment used to clean the Rifle Range should not be used to clean any other areas. The seating area should also
be cleaned once monthly using De-lead solution and rags. Rags should also be disposed of properly. The walls of the
rifle Range should be wiped down with De-lead once monthly. All Contractor activity in the cleaning and maintenance
of the rifle range shall be done in accordance to all applicable regulations including, but not limited to:

UAF requires the approval of the training program for Contractor personnel.
8. Trash Removal: To control accidental leaks, trash is to be transported through buildings in secondary containers, not
just trash bags.

The bidders will be evaluated pertaining to their submission regarding their procedures for cleaning the designated items below.
List all procedures, equipment, and Green Seal Certified chemicals suitable for each task. The offerors response to procedures, methods, styles, descriptions,
programs, practices, and specifications shall become binding and incorporated into the contract specification directly, or by reference, and modifications/changes
to those specifications can only be approved by the UAF Contract Administrator. Modifying this form for additional response space is acceptable.
