Learning Target: Identify current events related to economic causes and impacts of globalization
Assignment: Use http://news.yahoo.com/world/ to find a news article related to globalization. Print out the
article and use the “How to Summarize” handout to write a paragraph summary. Edit your writing, knowing
that it will be graded with the Briggs HS Writing Rubric.

Research center. Using data from Pew Charts 1 + 2, answer questions on handout.
Assessment: Explain how the diversity of answers on the survey causes cultural issues related to globalization.
