The Movement 2015-2016 Company Tryout Application
This sheet will be used to help determine placement for dancers into competitive
routines, as well as entering dancers into competition database(s) for each event. Our
staff will watch the dancers at auditions and place dancers in routines accordingly.
Decisions are made solely by our staff and judges and are final.
Please fill out entire sheet for your dancer, and turn in prior to auditions. Thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee that all dancers who want a solo will get one. Soloists will be
determined by our staff.
ROUTINE INFO:
All dancers who are chosen to be a part of our Company will be required to compete in our
production… If you choose to be in only one routine, that routine WILL be our production. Any
additional routines may be large groups, small groups, duos, trios or solos. Our staff will determine
the routines to place each dancer.
Routine placement will be sent to parents via email no later than Sept 3rd. Dancers will be required
to do the routines they are given. If routines need to be cut due to financial reasons, we will work
with you. However, the routines will be cut in the following order: Solo (if given) will be cut first;
Duos/Trios (if given) will be cut next; Small groups (if given) will be cut next; Large groups (if given)
will be cut next; Production is required for all Company dancers. If routines need to be cut, they will
be cut in that order and will be determined by our staff.
All communication between our staff and parents regarding the routine placement will be done

Routine placement is decided by our staff and judges. Decisions are based on many factors including
dance experience, age, etc. Parents and other outsiders are not a part of the discussions or decisions
regarding routine placement. Please sign below to indicate that you understand that these decisions
are made by our staff and judges ONLY. Note: By signing below, you are NOT committing to all
offered routines, or a year of competitive dance. Dancer will not be offered routines without a parent
signature.
