I will respect the speed limit of seven miles per hour at all times and drive in a safe and courteous manner. I will comply with all law of the California Motor Vehicle Code and all rules governing driving and parking on campus at all times. I agree to maintain current insurance and registration on the vehicle and a current driver’s license. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space (unless senior parking is purchased). Parking is on a first-come basis. I will park only in student designated parking stalls. I will follow and obey all instructions from Campus Supervision, School Administrators, and Police. I will park in the Warner lot at all times in student parking spaces. I will not park anywhere along the access roads (fire lanes) around the school. All vehicles are subject to search by school officials and police with reasonable cause. Students are not allowed to park in “Visitors”, senior parking (unless senior parking is purchased), or staff spaces. If a student with a parking permit drives a different vehicle, they may request a temporary permit twice a semester from the Supervision Office. Student parking permits must be renewed each school year. All parking and traffic regulations are enforced by the Huntington Beach Union High School District Police Department and the Huntington Beach Police Department. I understand that all vehicles are parked at my own risk. Ocean View High School and/or Huntington Beach Union High School District are not responsible for damage or loss to your vehicle as a result of parking on campus. Parking permits are not transferable and non-refundable (even if revoked). The parking permit is property of the Huntington Beach Union High School District and must be returned at the conclusion of the school year. Seniors will be required to return parking permits as part of the senior checkout for commencement clearance. Senior preferred parkers must park in their designated space. Academic Provisions 1. 2. 3. 4. I agree to maintain passing grades in all classes (D or better). I agree to maintain a “zero balance” with the Finance Office (e.g., no outstanding textbooks, library charges, etc.). If my family or I cannot afford to do so, I agree to make arrangements with the Activities/Finance Office and Supervision Office that are satisfactory to the Supervision Office. I agree to maintain a “zero balance” of all Saturday schools and/or detentions. I agree that infractions of the school rules or state and federal laws while on campus or at school events are grounds for revocation of my parking permit.
